The Miami-Dade Health Department and Miami Jackson Hospital once again are providing free vaccines and other services to school children when the Health and Info Fair is held in conjunction with the annual Back to School Fun Day sponsored by Miami-Dade County Commissioner Audrey Edmonson.
In the hopes of more participation, the combined event will take place on Saturday, Aug. 4, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Jefferson Reaves Park, Northwest 31st Ave. and Northwest 50th St., Miami.
The Back to School Fun Day part of the day brings parents with their children to the park. At the event, Commissioner Edmonson distributes free backpacks and school supplies donated by sponsors to children on a first-come, first-served basis.
