CORAL GABLES, Fla. – As Women’s History Month comes to a close, author, activist, and former First Daughter Chelsea Clinton is on a national tour in honor of her new picture book. “She Persisted Around the World: 13 Women Who Changed History,” is a guide or sorts for tiny activists, mini feminists and little kids who are ready to take on the world.

On March 19, Clinton made a stop in Coral Gables at Books & Books where she met up with girls from The Embrace Girls Foundation, Inc., for an exclusive meet and greet and signing.

“It’s always a great day when the Embrace Girls visit – they are a remarkable group of little girls poised in every way” said Mitchell Kaplan, Owner of Books & Books looking on as Chelsea gave big hugs, sang and danced with the girls.

“She Persisted” is the group’s Book Club Book of the Month and by all accounts a highly embraced selection. “I just love this book – I read it two times already and I’m going to read it to my class too” said first grader, Zoey Guerrier adding Chelsea was really fun and pretty it was a really special day. A sentiment embraced by Clinton tweeting “one of the highlights of my tour was my visit with the Embrace Girls in Miami,” a South Florida based not-for-profit organization for girls.
