West Palm Beach – Legendary educator Dr. Emma Banks, bottom middle and left, again celebrated top teachers who inspire and shape the future, along with special community service notables, during the 18th annual My Teacher My Hero scholarship fundraising gala, Saturday at the Palm Beach Convention Center in West Palm Beach. This year Dr. Banks, founder and CEO of Inlet Grove Community High School in Riviera Beach and visionary behind the Inlet Grove High School Foundation, hosted keynote speaker Daymond John, top left, founder and CEO of the phenomenal global lifestyle brand FUBU. Also known for his marketing firm The Shark Tank Group, and his ability to build highly successful brands through innovation and connections with the world’s top celebrities, John shared wisdom for harnessing ideas and building the next generation of entrepreneurs, during an onstage interview with mistress of ceremonies Angela Rozier of WPBF Channel 25, top right, and Inlet Grove High School graduating senior Alaja Depina, center.
