MIAMI – Florida’s minimum wage is set to increase next week thanks to 2020’s Amendment 2 which narrowly passed to become law.

Starting Tuesday, September 30, the state’s minimum will increase to $14 an hour and will go up again next year to $15.

From then on, the minimum wage is set to be adjusted annually for inflation, as it originally had been since 2004.

Prior to the passage of Amendment 2, the state’s minimum wage was $8.46.
