Riviera Beach – Voters heard from two sets of Riviera Beach City Council aspirants Tuesday during the first of two candidate forums this week ahead of the March municipal elections. Jeanette Gordon, president & CEO of McArthur’s Own, served as moderator for Tuesday’s conversation at J.A.Y. Outreach Ministries, with, below from left, incumbent Shirley Lanier, and Cedrick Thomas, a former councilman, vying in District 3; and incumbent Tradrick McCoy, chair pro tem, and Bruce Guyton, also a former councilman, in District 1. The candidates are set for a second round today, Feb. 20, 7 p.m. at the city’s Marina Village, 190 E. 13th St., with moderator Allahandro Bradford.
