Benton is founder & CEO of NewME Accelerator, whose mission is to accelerate underrepresented entrepreneurs around the world. NewME has received critical acclaim for its work to ensure that technology entrepreneurship is
accessible to women and minorities.
Benton and the inaugural class of NewME Accelerator were featured in CNN’s award winning documentary series Black in America: The New Promised Land: Silicon Valley in 2011.
Since the launch NewME has accelerated more than 150 startups through its 12-week program in San Francisco and national three-day program in cities around the country.
Benton’s previous experience spans a variety of industries and roles in design, marketing, development, digital strategy and entrepreneurship.
