Virginia Bostic, who has devoted 64 years to gospel singing, will be the special guest when gospel singers from all around gather for a concert in her honor this weekend.
Special guest artist will include Pastor Avery Jones & The Spirit of Life Ministry, Dr. Steve English & Friends, The Gospel Key Stones, Minister Kevin Desire & The Marlin Gospel Music Nominee Cholinga Praise, and playwrights and filmmakers Chad and Alice Robinson Cooper.
Bostic – fondly called Mother Bostic – has been lead singer with the Miami mass Choir’s Stellar Award winning project It’s Praying Time and is currently touring with the national stage play Church Mess and also starring in her first motion picture Family Mess scheduled to be released in the summer.
The concert will take place at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 30, at New Beginning Embassy of Praise Church, 2398 NW 119th St. in Northcentral Miami-Dade County.
