A community meeting to discuss issues affecting African American students in Riviera Beach is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 25. Presented by Riviera Beach Councilwoman KaShamba Miller-Anderson, the forum will address ideas to increase graduation rates and reduce suspensions of black students; early childhood initiatives; parent and community involvement, college and career readiness, city government partnerships with schools and business sponsorship opportunities.
