don-davis_web.jpgThe National African-American Insurance Association announced it will hold its national conference Sept. 28-30 at the Fairmont Turnberry Resort in Miami. Themed “Diversity-A Roadmap to New Opportunities,” the meeting will bring together insurance professionals from a variety of fields in roundtable discussion forums, continuing education workshops, networking and an awards ceremony to honor those who have made significant contributions to the industry.

Don Davis, national chairman of the Washington, D.C.-based association, said the meeting “will champion the use of teamwork as a key to success for African Americans presented with industry challenges and opportunities.”

“The diversity of talent and perspective embodied by the NAAIA membership and supporters will further emphasize the value of collaboration,” Davis added in a statement announcing the meeting.

The conference will also enhance and support career development for attendees, who will include executives and staff from insurance agency/broker organizations, insurance companies, and industry-related service affiliates.

“The conference is going to be exciting,” Davis said. “This year marks our 13th annual national conference, which continues to build upon the strengths of NAAIA and its talented members.”

Marsh, a leading insurance broker and risk advisor, will co-host the event.
