Area representatives from 14 district schools received leadership training for advocacy and supported the Florida PTA as it passed a Resolution regarding Student Involvement in Education Governance.

The 14 units represented were:  Binks Forest, Cholee Lake, Crystal Lakes, Del Prado, Emerald Cove, Equestrian Trails, Hidden Oaks, J.C. Mitchell, Palm Beach Gardens Elementary, Sandpiper Shores, Sunrise Park, Sunset Palms, and Whispering Pines.

Jennifer Martinez, president of Palm Beach County Council of PTA/PTSA said she found the leadership/Convention very informative and relevant to today’s community topics.

“Right now we are focusing on training our leaders to be ready for this school year and advocating for no more budget cuts. You come back to your community empowered and ready to make a difference,” she said.
