Founded in 2007, W2W serves women of varying ages and stages of cancer in cities in South Florida and in Atlanta, Baltimore, Charlotte and Houston among others. Comprehensive programs include education and early detection through free testing, as well as medical and financial aid to women who are unable to work full-time during treatment.

The celebration will kick off on Friday, March 23 with the “Real Men Support Pink” golf tournament at the Inverrary Golf and Country Club where a bevy of celebrity golf enthusiasts will play a round with other supporters. Special invited guests include business and civic leaders as well as notable sports and entertainment personalities.

A star-studded evening of philanthropy will follow the golf tournament with “The Pink Diamond Gala” on Saturday, March 24 at the Renaissance Marriott in Fort Lauderdale. The formal affair will celebrate the lives of eight women who are thriving in the face of cancer.  Each woman will be honored for the extraordinary way she has chosen to live her life while fighting back to health.

Seats for the gala are limited but still available. Individual tickets are priced at $250, tables can be reserved for $2,500; call Marla Wilson, 954-512-7214, or visit w2wbcf.org

“This is our opportunity to salute the many women who have faced cancer with dignity and courage under fire,” said Jacqueline Gray, founder and CEO of Woman2Woman. “By sharing their powerful stories, we hope to increase program support and help others not only survive, but also to thrive in spite of this terrible disease.”

This year’s honorary chair is Grammy Award nominee Chanté Moore, who will present the 2012 Pink Diamond Award to each honoree. “She is an incredible example of grace and beauty and will be a great ambassador for supporting a cause that impacts so many families,” said Marla Wilson, vice president of development for Woman2Woman.

Guests will also be able to participate in live and silent charity auctions featuring one-of-a-kind items. Proceeds from ticket and auction sales will fund W2W nationwide initiatives such as W2W Cares, W.R.A.P. (Wellness Revitalization Advocacy Program), Share2Inform and Woman

2Work Awareness Workshops, which improves the quality of life for women affected by breast cancer at the grassroots level.
